Commissioning
A commissioner administers an oath, affirmation or declaration. Ontario permits remote commissioning when the applicable legal requirements are met. Arrangements for in-person commissioning are available when appropriate.
Notarization
A notary public has the powers of a commissioner and can also perform additional notarial acts, including certifying that a copy is a true copy of the original and witnessing or certifying the execution of a document.

Notary and commissioning appointments are completed in person. We confirm the location, identification and original document requirements before you attend.
